The Crew

There are so many hurdles to overcome [when starting a design company], however I think that the biggest and most salient are: 1.) You get paid 2.) You get paid on time.

Although not exactly shrouded in mystery, Hired Guns Creative does have an interesting start. Let us go back to the beginning...

Once upon a time, in a far away and cold land called Canada there was a town called Nanaimo. This town had a history of coal mining, pirates, and bikers. It was also being home to a big company which made websites. This company was a good company with good people, but the work was dull. Their work was some of the best work in their industry. They were at the top of their game and getting better. But the work was dull.

It was at this company where three young minds came together with a need for something shiny and new. Working closely together and building up great friendships, these individuals knew they had something special. They knew they had in each other confidantes of creativity, insight, and adventure.

It wasn't long before the three were working together as design mercenaries. And it wasn't much longer before they were not working for the big, good company anymore. They were free and a little bit scared.

Using their wiles and business intuition and all of the skills they had learned at the big, good company, they set sail for prosperous shores. The seas were not always calm. There were many harbours along the way. But they stayed the course.

Now this is not nearly the end of their story, so we cannot yet say that they lived happily ever after. What can be said is that they are challenged and doing what makes them happy.
